The Welsh Terrier Association was founded in 1923 to encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Welsh Terriers, and to do all in its power to protect and advance the interest of the breed and to encourage sports manlike competition.

The club organizes one Championship Show and Open Show each year, and shall also be holding seminars each year. We publish a stud book every 5 years for information on breeders, various articles of interest and advertisements for dogs and bitches, past and present, who have had success in the show ring. This book is free to members, but can be purchased by non-members.

Our members throughout the U.K. and overseas are always anxious to assist the newcomer, eager to give information to those interested in the breed, and proud to show their dogs to all.

Membership not only benefits the club in its efforts to romote and sustain the breed, but also will bring you into a circle of new and interestng friends.
